Spoke magnet (MAVIC WHEELS)

The secret rider

Looks like I have lost my wheel magnet on my Mavic wheels for my Garmin 500 series.

Anyone know of a good, reasonably priced replacement that will suit mavic bladed spokes ?

Any links would be great.

I have both a cateye and Garmin one on my Ksyrium - both the same, with the flat "groove"

get a bag of rare earth magnets on ebay/amazon/wherever, tape one to the spoke (or you can use use super glue gel on a metal spoke)

it'll be smaller, lighter and better than the original

i use 3x3x1 mm, 3mm dia x 1mm should be ok too

depending on seller expect to pay around 3-4 quid for a few dozen incuding postage

+1 on the rare earth magnets - they're brilliant to have in the toolbox. Lots of uses.

Glued on would look better I think. I used standard magnet on front wheel but a Rare earth position on the back of the crank / pedal spindle (needs a steel spindle) for cadence sensor which looks way neater than standard issue cable tied to crank arm ones

are these the carbon spokes? with black tape mine is almost invisible

What you want is the thin flat rectangular ones like this, plenty of sellers have them, just wrap one on with black electrical tape and it will disappear.
