    GvA refusing to work

Time for "the same usual chaos of aero tuck bumper cars" as Cosmo put it last year...
Team orders - all for Gilbert

    That works.

Meanwhile my cat is praying for a non-Valverde win.

Matthews able to follow Gilbert (just), everyone else gapped. Valverde trying to close it at the top.

Valverde onto the wheel, 3 in front now.

I'll take the unrepentant doper over Bling here.

Have a guess whether Valverde will work...

More catching on from behind, Kwia back in with others. Must be 20+ in here now.

Edit: not that many actually, 15-16?

    Kwia takes it from Matthews!

This is my favourite race of the three "ardennes" classics but the finish is just a bit too far from the Cauberg now.

Thought Kwia sat up too soon, but great finish from him, and a good effort from Nordhaug too

Had an e-w bet on Kwiatowski. Woohoo!

Good last 50 km. What a difference having the main favourites makes

Fair recovery from Kwia, he looked like he'd popped going up the Cauberg.

Kwia cam from a long, long way back to blitz them there

Was that Nordhaug (edit) up there for Sky?

Clever riding by Kwia. Let it come back together, didn;t work too hard to shut it down on the Cauberg, knowing he has a sprint, but still risky with Valverde and Matthews there.

Looks like Valverde 2nd, Matthews 3rd, GvA 4th?

Apparently Nordhaug for Sky, but my feed is so low quality it's hard to tell.

Well, I fell asleep between the Caubergs but woke up for the important bits. My man the strongest when it counts!

Don't agree. Makes it much more interesting as far as I'm concerned. Finish at the top of the Cauberg made it just a Fleche-like hillpsrint

Overhead shot of Kwia's sprint was quite impressive, came from behind the others and made up a lot of ground.

He's got a shift so he has.
