I've always found the largest 3 sprockets to be quite noisy compared to the rest, and it occurred to me today that they are one block - could this be partly the reason?

I can't blame any other part of my drive train, as i'm now running brand new Ultegra cranks, KMC chain, and Ultegra cassette.

Has anyone else found this to be the case?

Can anyone recommend a specific chain lube to prevent noise??

Cheers.

Could be chain line, isn't the chain being forced out of line even in small ring more so than when in big ring small sprocket.

The noise is a fraction worse when in the small ring, which would lead me to believe it is a chain line thing. However, when in the big ring, the 3rd largest gear is louder than the 2nd... which would contradict that theory :?:
