Decent caps, what like Rapha make?

Any other brands make decent caps? Got a Rapha cap from the outlet store and it's bloody good, doesn't hold sweat and the visor is still visor shaped after a few weeks abuse.

My caps from Cinelli, LMNH, club kit all lose their shape after a round of rain, sweat or both.

Yes, this is probably the only answer.. but I'm somewhat resentful after paying £7.50 for my first one

But certainly open to anything more interesting in design that has the same function...

Get done Walz ones. My wicking ones are coming up to two years old and are still in mint condition.

These Walz ones look good, I see they do custom too, would assume they are the same quality.. may suggest to the club!

My club uses Walz caps and I can vouch for the quality.

I dunno if you got one, but the SCR winter cap order was from Walz. The quality is great.

I have the three panel wicking cap and they are superb. Much better than Prendas and the like, which I used to use.

Good stuff, can you confirm they can take a beating on the bike and survive a machine wash without the visor turning to mush?

Did you go 3 or 4 panel?

All I wanted was a hat, now have another mini project...

Mine goes in the wash weekly and it is still as good as new.

It is the 4 Panel variety IIRC. Will take a snap later.

Have to say i was less than impressed with the Walz SCr cap and it didn't fit me very well. Not a patch on the Rapha one.

I regularly wash my Castelli and Prendas caps with no bother. Had some of them for years.

I have an ICC club cap - Walz as Rob says - and I'm massively unimpressed. Never wear it.

My Prendas and LMNH caps have lasted really well. They are very much consumables though - washed often etc

I don't know if my second cap (to replace a few years old faded Rapha) was a Campagnolo one, or a Campagnolo branded Prendas one but it convinced me that my third cap would be a Rapha one.

The Campag one simply collected sweat whereas the Rapha one dispersed sweat.

Other brands are available but that has been my experience.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

My Mavic Roadie cap fits beautifully, and comes out of the wash looking like new, the peak does not distort or lose shape at all.

Mixed reviews on some of these then! Seems I'm now self-volunteered to find a decent cap that can be customised... maybe just ask Rapha!
