Can I remove an FSA 386 evo crankset and replace it with a Shimano Hollowtech II crankset and BB? What I'm trying to say is: is the threaded BB shell compatible?

Cheers.

What BB is in your frame currently? Is it a threaded BB shell, or pressfit?
The main difference is that the FSA chainset will have a 30mm diameter spindle, and the hollowtech cranks have a 24mm diameter spindle. As far as I'm aware they are the same length, so there should be a way to make it work, depending on what type of BB your frame is designed for.

It's a threaded BB, the shell looks about right for a Shimano threaded BB to fit but just wondered if anyone had any experience with them? It's going to need another tool to remove it though as my Hollowtech II BB socket won't fit it.

The 386 evo BB seems quite well sealed, with one normal seal and another below it that is also part of the bearing race. However, it was filled with rust coloured grease after 4 months (replacement BB £39.99) so I'm going to revert to what I've had on previous bikes and lasts a lot longer.
