Just in case anyone is interested, and missed out on the original ballot, the Coast to Coast in a day has 100 extra entries for this year:

They emailed today, so many of these places may have been taken, but I just wanted to flag it up to all forumites.

Sorry, I don't know. Looking at the website I can't find a reference to cost. I know it's not cheap - there are various transfers involved that need paying for, plus I think overnight accommodation in Seascale and Whitby.

I'm not doing it myself, so tbh can't be that mithered to investigate!

Please check out my ride review of Open Cycling's Coast to Coast in a day 2013! I have completed this challenge twice, once in 2013 just to finish it as it wasn't too long after getting out of a wheelchair and again in 2014 to finish it as quickly as possible. I will be posting my experience of the 2014 event next week.
