Specialized SJ Expert 2014 or Canyon GC SLX

Hi All
Just after a bit of advice / opinions about two bikes I am looking at as I have no experience of 29er hardtails at all, and am out of date on my knowledge of the latest kit. I was originally keen on getting a Canyon but after a look in Cycle Surgery last night am being tempted by a Specialized (never thought i'd say i'm tempted by a Specialized!!
