Stages Power Meter for Shimano 105 Crank

Hello,

Just bought 105 (5800) group and would like to buy a Stages Power meter.

The only one that seems to exist is a 5700 version. Will this be compatible with my 5800 crank? Are the crank arms the same in both incarnations?

Yes, it should work. If in doubt contact Stages customer services. Very good response times.

I have the 105 5700 Stages and it's been faultless so far. Really pleased with it.

All the current stages Shimano crank arms will fit your cranks as they are the same connection. All that matters is how bothered you are about them matching. I'm sure it won't be too long before correctly matching ones are available if that bothers you, if not then go for it.

Yeah, a 5800 model is in the pipeline, so if it were me shelling out £600, I'd wait and get one that matches my groupset!

Has anybody by any chance got a side by side pic of a 5700 and 5800 crank arm so I can see how different they look?

I bought an Ultegra 6800 version as my groupset is.... 6800, but I also use that on my TT bike which is 5800. I don't even change the pedal, one is look one is exustar. Unless you want to take photographs of your bike then who cares!

I have the 5800 groupset, but bought the 5700 stages. I emailed Stages about a month ago to ask when the 5800 version would be available in the UK, and they said it would be the later part of the year.
