does anyone own one of these? i have loads of spare parts to build up a proper winter bike, just need a frameset. obviously i want full mudguards and enough clearance for 28mm tyres.

the Kaffenback seems to be disc...sorry to sound stupid does that mean only disc brakes? i would rather stick with rim brakes.

cheers

Fraid most of the new road and cyclocross frames with decent clearance are specced for disc brakes only these days.

If you want to stick to rim brakes then you need to search out a frame that is set up for cantilever brakes such as this on offer in Paul Milnes Ebay shop

Graham Weigh is another option to consider:-

or just trawl through the listings for cyclocross frames on Fleabay

The older Kaffenback, disc mount on chainstay, can be run with discs or cantis. When I bought my frameset I got a bag with canti mounts for the frame.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.
