BB86 & BB30 completely different?
So it's probably the most stupid question of the day but being no expert in BB's I thought I'd ask.
Reason for asking is I'm looking to replace my chainset. Why? Well it's probably done 3k miles now & just fancy a change.
Existing item came as standard on my 2013 Fuji Gran Fondo 2.1 & is (a rather generic) listed as "Oval 730" with the BB86 fitment.

2 different standards: BB30 cranks won't fit BB86 because the crank spindle is too short. However, any 24mm spindle crank works with BB86, so that includes the likes of Shimano, SRAM GXP and FSA Mega Exo plus you can fit BB386 and BSA30 cranks. This might help:
