Been offered a carbon rubric, full 105 triple at a great price. Are they any good. Frame looks stunning.
How much is a good price for these?

Model is a factor, as the carbon frame improved over time. Look up original RRP and work on 50% discount, plus further 10% per year (not additive, otherwise 5 year old would be 100%) as a guide price?
I have a 2011 Expert (SL3 frame, compact Ultegra) and love it, yet believe it'd only be worth under a grand against an original RRP of almost £3KLocation: ciderspace0 -
if it's the right fit why not.
roubaix has a relaxed geometry (super long head tube).0 -
If it is the correct frame size for you and the price right for you, then see if you can take it out for a ride for an hour or so. Measure the saddle height on your current bike and setback using a metre long spirit level and set the saddle to the same, though ultimately a bike fit is the way to go, but comes later.
I've had my Roubaix Compact (105) for 4 years from new and I've put more miles on that bike than my car. Whilst most of the components have now been changed due to wear and tear, it makes for a good all round bike. Ideal for the weekend warrior in you to clock up miles in the lanes, and commuting to and from work.Live to ski

So I bought it. I think it's the 2010 elite model with full 105 and a triple. So far I've replaced the stem and bar tape. Been for a 10 mile ride on t and it felt great. Fits really well and although it's a few years old it's not seen much use judging by the lack of wear on the components or frame. I only paid £480 for it so very very happy with it. Thanks for your input to all.0

Enjoy your ride! Good graphics on that model/year.
If it was £1,649 new, as the 2011 model, then on my rule of thumb, "price" is £486. Given it sounds as though it's not been used much, then you've got a good deal.Location: ciderspace0 -

Thank you!!! Found the exact model. All looks original too apart from the bar tape which I changed myself. Looking forward to getting out on it for a few hours again this evening.
