does the boardman comp have 27 speed i cant tell and i dont know if hes lying because the tyres are schwalbe but he listed them as contintal mountain kings. ( I want a bike with at least 21 speed)

the boardman comp is 27 speed, he probably copied pasted the original spec which had mountain king, and replaced them when they wore out0

You don't want a bike with at least 21 speed, you want one with at least 8 at the rear, but I'd take a 16 speed over a 21 any day as 8 speed usually means a much better rear wheel.
If it's mostly for road use you may be better off with a lighter more responsive hybrid than a mountain bike.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
