Help : Headsets and play : Ritchey Swiss Cross Disc

Ok. The Swiss Cross Disc has a 1 1/8 fork. It's supplied with a drop in 1 1/8 WCS headset. Usual story there.
Same as on my Road Logic. Drop the cups in. Cut the fork. Install the Crown Race etc.
Now, on the Swiss Cross, different issue. New fork has an integrated crown race. You can see all the relevant details here:
http://www.cxmagazine.com/ritchey-logic ... canti-2015
So, basically, you don't use the supplied Ritchey Crown race, this thing:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ritchey-wcs-crown-race/
Problem is, I have some fork play. Tiny bit. If I tighten to remove, too much pressure, no steering.
You can see in the CX link above that there appears to be a space between fork and head tube. On mine there is not.
Here's the link to the specs of the fork:
http://ritcheylogic.com/cross/forks/wcs ... -fork.html
On the face of it, 45 degree crown race, so should be compatible with 45 degree bearing cup.
Here's a picture of mine. The question is, is there some incompatibility here?
My working theory is that this integrated race may be 45 degrees and sit in the bearing cup but, because it lacks the flat disc part of the above supplied crown race the fork is, in effect, slightly too high. That might account for the "gap" showing on the above pics, i.e. the correct crown race?
Any ideas?

A phone to Paligap sorted it. Kind of.
Apparently the tolerances on some frames were slightly out. I need a crush washer.
Anyone know what one looks like? Or where to get one?My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

It would be nice of them to send you one...left the forum March 20230 -
Quite.
Have a look at the second photo here:
http://www.starbike.com/en/ritchey-wcs-logic-headset/
That's a tapered but, essentially the same.
You'll see there's a washer there. I have one. I assumed it wet on top of the headset above the slightly cut other silver one. But maybe that's a crush washer? My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

Maybe... the idea is if you fit it and it works, then it is a crush washer...left the forum March 20230 -

Cannot wait to see your full build.
Got to see one in the flesh just recently, fully build with CX1 and Zipp 303 wheels, looked beautiful.
Also got to ride an older version and it was lovely and smooth, really enjoyable and comfortable to ride.
Trying to decide wether to drop coin on the Swiss Cross or go for the new Salsa Warbird in Carbon.0
