Chainstay Guards

I've noticed a lot of telltale oil on the chainstay so thinking about getting a guard before all the paint starts peeling away.

I've seen carbon, polyurethane, neoprene etc.

What's generally a good option for a hard tail on trails?

Old inner tube and electrical tape.
Or the free neoprene ones you sometimes get with magazines.

+1 for inner tubes (small zip tie on the end for me though). They just work.
