Hi,

Did 165k yesterday with 2 friends, both of their Garmins said 2200m of climbing while mine said 2700m climbing.

Why is it exaggerating it ? Any way to correct it?

Cheers

GPS alone is hopeless for altitude gain/loss. It's entirely down to how the unit itself handles it - barometric correction/assistance helps but it's still not bulletproof. It depends if you're recording "smart" or every second... and how quickly you're moving.

Unlikely that either their ascent data is correct either...

How do you know yours is not correct and there's reported figures that are too low?

If it's the 200 you need to make sure that altitude corrections are enabled on the ride page, if it is enabled just click on disable/enable a couple of times and it should correct itself.
