hamstrings

So it's been a couple of weeks since I went on a decent ride and haven't really kept up with the stretching. To top that off I have a new bike which I have set up as close to the old one as possible.

About 20 miles into the ride, my hamstrings were getting sore. The next day, they were really sore and today they are getting better again.

Is this likely to be lack of cycling/stretching or because of the new bike setup.. or is it impossible to say given this information?

Will be stretching everyday now as I get fully back into it. Just hope I haven't damaged anything.

Just stretch after every ride and you should be ok. I occasionally get stiff hamstrings if I dont stretch after a ride.

thanks - the thing that worried me was that the pain started during my ride not after, which is making me think either my ride isn't set up well or I just haven't stretched in a while

Just Google bike bit and do some basic adjustments, no need to buy a bike fit just yet. All you need is some assistance and a plum line.
