Hi all,

I'd love to be able to ride and race in Europe, particularly in southern France/ spain as I tend to go well on climbs.

Does anyone know how I might go about getting a ride with someone/ a team there?

Many thanks,

    Can't tell if joking?

How many races have you won for your current local club? What cat have you got up to?

Move down there, join a club, get racing, get noticed, get recruited by a development squad, get a pro contract. Easy as that.

In that case, yeah what he said ^.

Or keep winning races here, move up to 1st cat, keep winning races... Someone 'might' hook you up if the right person sees you and likes you.

Assuming you have a race licence then you'll prob. need some results to back you up. Prob BCF can put you in touch with a team but even if you get a ride it's a tough game. Google some euro clubs eg

Get some results and see if you can get some support from the Dave Rayner Fund:

Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

If you just want to ride for your own pleasure, I have accidentally fallen into the Bulgarian brevet circuit - there will be Audax rides - all with brevet cards from Audax parisien - most weekends throughout the summer. Everyone's super-friendly and supportive, even to me, a girl on a rusty mountain bike, and entry fees are verryyy reasonable (£2.50, includes a support car and refreshments at control points!).

Minimum distance is 200km. Maximum, Sofia-Varna-Sofia is 1200.
