First FS advice

Hello there,
I've been in the market for a new FS for some time, I ride mainly XC with a few trail centres thrown in every month so I guess I could do with an all rounder..
Initially I was looking at an Anthem however I don't seem to be able to get an older bike in the spec I want, and the newer versions are out of my budget range (Around £1350)
I am close to pulling the trigger on a 2014 Trance X29er 1 which seems to tick all of the boxes I need, however I am a bit unsure about the X9/7 transmission. This comes in at around £1350 delivered and also has a dropper post, fox front and rear etc.

Other options I've looked at are the Canyon Nerve AL 6.0, the only real negative here is the 6 week wait (for the colour I want) which comes in at around £1250 delivered.

And finally the Vitus Escarpe from CRC, which I can get for around £1275 if I use a well known cutback site. I read the latest review on this and it seems to be a lot more trail orientated (and heavier) than the other two.

Not sure why you are worried about the SRAM transmission bits?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I personally would go for the Canyon simply because you seem to get more bang for your buck. They also get very good reviews which is difficult to ignore.
Again, I personally wouldn't be put off by a 6 week wait either. If you're planning to keep the bike for any length of time then 6 weeks in the grand scheme of things isn't that long - especially if it gets you the best bike most suitable for your needs.0 -
I have had a Giant Anthem for a couple of years now and it was my first full suspension. I was always more into xc and had only had HTrails but the anthem even with 29er wheels is really good at downhill and trails. Its really fast XC. I love it. That Trance I'm sure would be a really good buy.2015 Stanton Switchback
