Gran Fondo Stelvio

I'm doing this with a friend of mine this June. I have a question about the medical certificate which I'm hoping that somebody who has previously ridden this might help me with.

On their website they say that I need either an FCI licence (the Italian Cyclists Federation) or a valid medical certificate, which I can download from their site to get a doctor to sign.

But in their rules and regulations pdf download it says
The race is open to all FCI licensed riders, all foreign riders with valid racing licenses and all
amateurs (only for the short and medium routes and showing a valid medical certificate
stating the athlete’s good health).
I have a BC full racing licence, so I'm wondering if this will be sufficient?

They say the same for the marmotte and I believe it would suffice for that. Someone will probably confirm.

I have a BC licence and popped into local GP's. They signed a letter saying I was fit enough to enter without even looking at me.

Was I asked for it? No, but had it just in case.
