Cassette problem. Help needed

Trying to do as many mechanical jobs as possible and just replaced the 9 cog rear tiagra cassette on my road bike. However, I now seem to have a wobble on the cassette which wasn't there before. I was careful to place the spacers which came with the cassette between the correct gears, but noticed that there is no spacer/washer which goes on to the freehub before placing the first sprockets of the cassette on. Is this my problem? Do I also need to purchase a spacer to go on to the freehub ? If so can anyone guide me to the right one. Thanks.

On a 10 speed freehub you don't need a spacer, but on a 11 speed one you do.0

If you have a 8/9/10 speed Shimano freehub body, you don't need a spacer before fitting a 9 speed Shimano cassette. I know this because that's exactly what I have on one of my bikes; 9 speed Tiagra.
Is your cassette actually loose after tightening the lock-ring?0
