I can't take credit for this, Richmond Racer started it on twitter - but I think it deserves an airing on the more flexible medium of BR (not to mention with the rather better informed cognoscenti round here).
Link names from the world of procycling with their counterparts in GoT - by physical similarity, personal qualities, lack of body parts, whatever works. Comme ça;
Surdave...
...and Varys
or in a less literal vein;
That scary one in red...
...and this bloke
(and Stanis Baratheon is every rider he ever worked with)

I have a policy of only posting comment on the internet under my real name. This is to moderate my natural instinct to flame your fatuous, ill-informed, irrational, credulous, bigoted, semi-literate opinions to carbon, you knuckle-dragging f***wits.

I feel excluded from this because I don't really 'do' fantasy. I tried it once or twice, but just never got into The Hobbit.

It was done in this thread (mostly referencing Sky politics):

Some of my best work in that. One quote from meWiggins is more Stanis really - Baratheon establishment but now pushed to the sidelines and the direct enemy of the Froome Lanisters. Baelish would be Geraint Thomas. He plays both sides while plotting to claim it all for himself.
Boasson Hagen is Sarah Lund from The Killing, but in Game of Thrones. All anyone could talk about a few years back but now looks like he has wandered on to the set of a completely different show.Twitter: @RichN950 -
Genius.
I had Valverde as Stanis - in thrall to the dark arts but can't help but admire his battle-smarts.0 -

RichN95: Jason Kenny. The Starks are the GB track team - once key to the Brailsford seat of power but now shorn of it's male and female figureheads and alienated with hopes of survival resting on a couple of young girls.
And of course, Joffrey:

Thus far we had -
Chris Hoy = Khal Drogo
Pippo (or IMO Kittel) = Jamie Lanister
Nicole Cook = Cersei
Sagan = Theon Greyjoy (unless he finds some form)
Anna Mears/Kirsten Wild = Brienne
Laura Trott/PFP = Arya
Lizzie A = Denarys
Jaques Anquetil = Petyr Balish
and in my opinion...
Lance Armstrong = The Hound making Bruneyl Tywin Lanister and making Verbruggen Mad King AerysWe're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

I think Anna Meares was going to fight Kirsten Wild to see who gets to be Brienne, but yeah. I would add that Gregor 'the Mountain' Clegane,
could be played by;
