Getting the right size.

So I'm about to buy a new bike, and i am between sizes, online advice says if you ride aggressively go for the smaller size and if your want to ride more comfortable rides go for the next size up.

its obviously one of the pitfalls buying online with out trying for size first.

Any body want to throw their tuppence worth in on their thoughts.
