Morning all
Frame stickers - will Fablon suffice or any other sticky backed plastic product recommended?
Many thanks.

Recognition at last Matthew, well done!, a justified honour

Fablon will work, assuming the contact surface is ok. How are you cutting it? Another alternative would be to give your design/logo/whatever to a sign maker and get them to run it out on a vinyl cutter.0

Ta muchly for the reply.
Plan is:
Plain white frame at the moment.
Get some black to pop straight on to the frame
Pre cut stickers to go on top of the black (these come direct from a manufacturer so are all ready to go but are grey - can't get black - so will look insipid: the black will provide a decent background and at the same time cover up a couple of small chips.
If you Google a Lemond frame, you'll see that on the down tube: "Lemond" is written on a coloured backing - I want the black to act as this coloured backing.
They were 95% off so as its for the winter bike I don't want to spend any more.
Its for the black (I suppose you could call it) backing that I'm intrigued about.
If it looks jack then I can just take the black off and scratch my head from there.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

Didn't somebody recommend a good decal manufacturer on here a while ago? I think we're just waiting on the pictures.0

Do a search on retrobike for a username called 'Gil' or 'GilM'. Does incredible work creating bike decals, he has tons but you can design your own for him as well.0

He's on facebook too as Retrodecals, not had the need to use him but his work looks stunning. He's just done a Bontranger MTB frame with a panel backing similar to what you describe.0

Top stuff - thank you very much.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am
