Anybody with any experience of the Metron 40 clincher wheels from Vision? They are available for about 1200 euros on Bike24 just now, with current exchange rates that's a pretty tempting £880-ish! (rrp £1500)

Bought a set from bike24. Very good to deal with.

Be mindful that as the rims (clincher) have a rim width of 25.5mm, they could be a tight fit on your bike. And with a 25mm tyre fitted, clearance to the sides of the front fork is no more than 3mm my bike. Also there's a bit of fannying around with the brake calipers to get everything to fit/set up properly.

Nevertheless the wheels look great and having only ridden once on them, can't comment on the ride quality yet, but suffice to say they roll well and feel more comfortable on the 25mm tyre.

I'm waiting for a dry day to give them a good blast over rolling terrain with a number of short sharp hills.
  • ah, never thought about clearances. The Ultimate has some pretty generous clearances but i better check...! Yours looks good though :)
