A chilly overnight ride this week!

Set off from my place on Tuesday night at 9.30pm with a sleeping bag, Thermarest and a survival bag in the panniers, went up the A19 via Selby and York and got to Thirsk at 2.00am.

Slept in the bus shelter type thing on the train station platform (quite cold!), got up at 5.30am and rode down to Harrogate for a fantastic Wetherspoons full English and some defrosting.

Met a friend there at 8.30am for a 50 mile ride round North/West Yorkshire then on to my office in Leeds for lunch, a shower and an afternoon of pretending to work. 130 miles all in.

Would definitely recommend an overnighter like this for a bit of a mini adventure - lots of fun!
