Great to hear that Sergio Henao will be racing #CoppiEBartali He was told he may never race again after being hit by a car at TdS #fighter
Split stage today:
Kennaugh won this well last year. They are the only PT team though.

I love this little race. Has some great, hilly rather than mountainous parcour.
Rai Sport 2 has it's usual one hour highlights, each evening at 5pm UK time.
Although not as easy to find as some, there is usually a good station feed to be found."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

On Italian tv right now.
Great to watch Sergio Henao at the head of the peloton, doing loads of graft during stage 1a."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Jaco Venter had a nasty crash in the morning stage, so well done to him and MTN.
Cummings and Meintjes now double threats to grampa Rebellin's lead.

It certainly was!
Just watched my recording. Absolutely foul conditions: soaking wet, cold and misty.
The climb was also a bit of a leg breaker, which makes Swift's win all the more impressive.
Cobrelli, then Zardini had set up the attack for Bongiorno and only Ben plus one reacted.
Rebellin really suffered.
On the descent, a car had got onto the course, which made life hard for the chase group, having to over take it on a corner.
Swift didn't wait for the very steep uphill finish, rather he attacked a km before the end of the descent and left the other two, to solo to victory."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

He's clearly flying at the minute. Those were some pretty decent riders that couldn't/didn't follow on the climb; Quintero, Meintjes, Agnoli, Zardini, Pellizotti, Cummings - not a bad list!
Now they just need to make a classic somewhere in difficulty between MSR and LBL and he'll win it.0 -
Check out the eyebrows on Bongiorno!!!

No.
This one is as it is an African on an African team winning his first European race.

Here's the 1hr highlights of Meintjes' win. Really classy, he looked completely at ease.0 -
Solo for 45mins or so. What a rider.
Worth mentioning that Henao turned himself inside out for Swift then managed to hang on for 6th, only 5 secs down on 2nd place. Good to see he has not lost it.Contador is the Greatest0 -
