I took out my Garmin virb elite for the first time so it's all new to me. I'm trying to overlay the heart rate and cadence to a few videos but I'm really struggling. I had it linked to my garmin 810 I have maps and speed showing.
How do I get the heart rate and cadence to show on the video's in Garmin Elite editing suite ?

You need to pair your HR and cadence sensors with the Virb. Or you need to replace the Virb's GPS track with one (presumably from your 810) that has HR and cadence data.

If it's recorded the data then create a new video and in the editing suite click on "Overlays" on the bottom of the screen.

Make sure you have the latest version of Virb Edit, 2.9.2

the video I made is showing the speed and map line and to the right of the video it shows map via bing. The heart rate and cadence symbols are in screen but both show "- -" were as the speed works fine.
Is there a way to import the .gpx I dragged from my garmin connect save now on my pc ?. thanks

Yes - in ViRB edit there is the option to replace the GPS track - you need to replace the one that the ViRB itself inserted with the one from your other device that is connected to your sensors.

If needed redownload the original FIT file from Garmin Connect (there is an option to 'save original' or something like it on the activity)

Report back on your results. I've virtually given up on altering the overlays on my virb. Even simple things like truncating the video to include just the action leads to major headaches with getting the GPS tracks matched up and the overlays functioning.

There have been a few updates to the Virb edit software so I should give it another try.
