Hi guys, i am a roadie normally but would really like to get into mountain biking too, mainly XC stuff.
To be honest i know very little about the MTB world so would be looking and spending around £200-£300 to begin with.

I am 5ft11 and weigh 61kg i have looked briefly at the decathlon rockriders but i would be more than willing to buy second hand because as i hinted i am not 100% sure i wont just end up trading it in for another road bike :)

Any help, recommendations or offers then i will be very grateful.

many thanks George.

New you would need to spend about £300-350 to get a useable mountain bike, used have a look for a Carrera Kraken or Fury, fairly common and should be in your price range, obviously condition is important and they have been around for a while so don't buy an older one at that price.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
