Considering a New Hardtail

I have a Cove Handjob which I love and use as a regular commuter and xc ride. I have a Bronson as my main bike but quite fancy a secondary more progressive hardtail - could probably sell my Cove in order to pick up a 650B longer travel hardtail (my Cove is of an era when it was designed for a 100mm fork).
Its only a thought at present but considering a couple of options at present:
Nukeproof Scout Comp - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/ca/en/nukeproof-scout-comp-hardtail-bike-2015/rp-prod117272?DPSLogout=true
Santa Cruz Chameleon - http://www.santacruzbicycles.com/en/ca/chameleon
Maybe an On-One 45650B - http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/CBOO45650BX01/on-one-45650b-sram-x01-mountain-bike although I can't get that in Canada
Transition Transam in a 27.5 wheel - http://www.transitionbikes.com/2015/Bikes_TransAM.cfm?Token={ts_2015-03-20_22:19:38}-1dbd36c2b19a4cb2-476E9A7F-F90C-6A18-55B816709EBAF1F3
I prefer the 130mm fork idea over 150mm on the Scout, other option might be a Chromag Wide Angle http://www.chromagbikes.com/bikes/wide-angle#Sizing for a bit of a local Whistler bike which would be similarly priced to the Chameleon.
Any thoughts on other options?

Just bought a whyte 901. Loving it. 66.5 head angle , 74 seat angle. I often forget I'm not ring my full sus when out on the whyte.Nothing ventured, nothing gained. http://doricdiversions.com

This will probably replace my voodoo at some point, not ridden one, but after reading the reviews and seeing a few in the flesh its at the top of the shortlist currently.0 -

Frame only and shipped to BC I would probably err toward the 45650B for the steel frame and the 150 quid saving for similar geometry. I do have a spare 650B Revelation sitting around the flat (with minor damage to the stantions) but ordering all the parts in to do a build could end up pricey in BC.
Built up I would definitely consider the Bird in preference to the On One for the dropper and Shimano kit for similar pricing.Closet jockey wheel pimp whore.0 -

This. I have the old 905 26er - it rides better than any bike I've had if i'm honest. You don't notice the slightly shorter travel due to angles (I guess). Light too. Can't go wrong.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0 -
if budget isn't a consideration then look at the production privee oka, i bought its big brother the shan and absolutely love it, it converts form 26 to 650b, can take a 160mm fork and the oka can take a 130mm or 140mm. looks awesome as well...
wee pic of the shan
