on bbc breakfast news this morning i heard that the distance from the earth to the sun is about 145 million miles (from a 'scientist', presumably confused by his moment on camera) and, from a reporter, the suggestion that jodrell bank's 'satellite' telescopes would be even better than those being used at another location

it made steph's sofa-based explanation of the eclipse using bouncy balls look like the cutting edge of astronomy

    They made huge errors in the reappearance of the next total eclipse in the UK which they said was a mix of 2026 and 2027 when fact is that it will be in 2090 with best totality on cornwall for 2 mins 10 seconds.
