2015 Whyte Hybrids - What's the Max Tyre Width?

Anyone know what the maximum tyre width a Whyte hybrid bike will take? I'm looking at the Shoreditch, but the Whitechapel, Portobello, Cambridge & Stirling all look like they use the same frame.

It comes with 28mm tyres and given the state of the roads in London and the reported harshness of the ride, more comfy tyres (e.g. 35c with room for guards) would be great :)

For posterity, after having taken a close look and a test ride it seems like 30c is probably the max with full guards and 35c would be possible only with raceblades.

The squeeze is at the bottom of the down tube where the chain stays narrow. For a bike named 'Shoreditch' it sure isn't designed for the rubbish road surfaces we have here.
