I thought i had better get some pics up of my Volare.
I bought the frame and forks from Paul Milners last September for a bargain £650 delivered
Transferred my components from my Cayo Evo.
New cables, Bar Tape and DA 9000 Chainset to match my other bike

Ive covered 1800 miles in all weathers and It rides like a dream and is probably my favourite bike

Looks nice, what wrap are you using for the bars? That looks very grippy, and I am intrigued.

That's Lizard Skinz (says in the breakdown list) and it's very grippy stuff, but not cheap. I always switch to this stuff in the summer.

But that is lovely, I'm very interested in building one of these up myself.

Ah, too hasty, read the top section mentioning new tape, but didn't see that! Looks good stuff, I may give it a try.

The DSP tape is nice.
I use the 3.2mm as i like to ride with no gloves in the summer.
Its also very grippy when wet

So i've been using the Volare for circuit racing and love it with the deep sections

Love what you've done with your Volare and has inspired me to get one myself.

How have you found the ride compared to carbon and how have you found the ultegra wheelset?

Have heard that they can be a handful getting tyres on and off?

HI, thanks for your kind words.
My other steed is Scott Foil, they are known for being pretty unforgiving.
The Volare is definitely 'comfier' compared to the Foil and they are set up the same.

The biggest thing is tyrs for me. You can make an ok frame feel nice with a set of Vittoria Corsa and you can make a nice frame ride censored with Gatorskins.

Its a lovely bike though and really is do-it-all.
I use it for club rides and i even won a circuit race on it this week.

You will not be disappointed, especially at the discounted price.
Try and stretch to the Enve fork though, its very nice

Hi Matt,

Thanks for that. Have managed to get one with an enve fork . Just need to get it built up. Not sure whether to go 11 speed. I have a 10 speed ultegra group, but really like the look of the new shimano chainsets.
