Shoes in the oven

I thought it was a joke when I read about people heat moulding shoes in the oven, but it happens!
So can I do this for my Spesh road riva, or is it only for bont shoes? Also, why is this a thing? I suppose I could try and if I fail, ill just eat them. Might even be an improvement on the wifes roast.

You can only do it for heat moldable shoes, you'd need to check if yours are before trying it.'Hello to Jason Isaacs'0

I bake everything. My front mech was a bit stiff. Baked it. Had a puncture. Baked the tube. Really hungry. Baked a potato.
I think you should bake it.0 -
Stick your helmet in too to mould it to your head. Safer and more aero.0

I used to dry wet shoes in the oven set to 50c for about 30mins. Then one day I accidently I left them in for two hours. I took them out and they looked OK but they had shrunk by a few millimetres making them rub against my big toe. Never again!0

Your head has to be in the helmet whilst you bake it though...0

I put my carbon fibre frame in the oven to dry it and it melted.0

Put yourself and your bike into a large oven - instant bike fit.
Other than that - not sure if serious.0 -

You oven reaches 3500oC? you must burn pies all the time.0 -
I generally buy shoes that fit.
I achieve this by trying them on in the shop.
This way I do not need to cook them or wear them in the bath to make them fit.
I hope I have helped, but I fear that perhaps I have not.0
