Green stripe tyres

I'm looking for some green stripe (yes I am that vain that I care) tyres for training and club runs (so decent miles), ideally 25s, but that can slide if needs be - and less than £40 for the pair. Any suggestions?

    Vittoria Pave

Scrap that, didn't read it properly and missed for the pair bit.

Unless you're willing to stretch to 50squid a pair.

Unless you can find Paves for less than £40 a pair, then it would have to be Rubino Pro...

That's looking likely, but seem the slicks aren't available in green, would the (in my physics nerd eyes) pointless tread be adding rolling resistance and make them noticeably slower??

I doubt it - the Rubinos are great tyres and the centre section (ie the bit you roll on when upright) is smooth in any case..

Adding rolling resistance and make them noticeably slower.

    Seriously? Seriously, seriously?

I'd suggest these too and they should come to around £23 each. Green sidewalls though and not stripes.

I'd wager that all black tyres would look better. They always do.

These would fit the part but you might have to shop round a bit for them:

If you're going to buy the Ultremo ZXs, then make sure you also buy a load of inner tubes and patches too.

Don't buy Rubino Pros, the amount of punctures that I got on a black and blue pair were heart breaking.

Bontrager do one's for about a tenner that I've heard good puncture proof stories about ;)

Strange. I rode two winters on a set of Rubino Pros without a single puncture.

£50 the pair when I bought mine recently. Didn't check German retailers though.

Also could only find the 25s in black...

But the green ones are infinitely more puncture resistant.

Judging by IrishMac's club affiliation, we ride a lot of the same/similar roads, and Rubinos whilst fine, don't deal the best with rutted chip seal.
