I'm looking for some green stripe (yes I am that vain that I care) tyres for training and club runs (so decent miles), ideally 25s, but that can slide if needs be - and less than £40 for the pair. Any suggestions?

Vittoria Pave
Scrap that, didn't read it properly and missed for the pair bit.
Unless you're willing to stretch to 50squid a pair.Bianchi Intenso Athena

Unless you can find Paves for less than £40 a pair, then it would have to be Rubino Pro...0

That's looking likely, but seem the slicks aren't available in green, would the (in my physics nerd eyes) pointless tread be adding rolling resistance and make them noticeably slower??0 -
I doubt it - the Rubinos are great tyres and the centre section (ie the bit you roll on when upright) is smooth in any case..0

Great, thanks. Anyone else with other suggestions, I'd appreciate.0

These would fit the part but you might have to shop round a bit for them:

Don't buy Rubino Pros, the amount of punctures that I got on a black and blue pair were heart breaking.0

Bontrager do one's for about a tenner that I've heard good puncture proof stories about0

Strange. I rode two winters on a set of Rubino Pros without a single puncture.0 -

Yeh, I thought this was an easy one with us just suggesting green tyres.....0 -
Judging by IrishMac's club affiliation, we ride a lot of the same/similar roads, and Rubinos whilst fine, don't deal the best with rutted chip seal.0
