I'm pretty sure it's over, I didn't see any signs up about it on the weekend.

It was in February. Normally I'm not in the park that late so never notice (doesn't shut until 8pm).

Went through just now, and appears to be over.

    Thanks all.

The snipers are really well trained and highly skilled.

They spend years learning how to take the perfect clean shot.

Their work is really important to ensure that those members of herd that really have little to offer future development and vitality are identified and removed.

Fortunately the black and blue kit is quite easy to identify and they travel in very large herds making the job of the shooters much easier.

No, it just means the pedestrian gates are closed, and so you cannot cycle through the park after dark.

    Oh, that's much less fun.

I was hoping for some adrenaline filled sprint videos coming through from people getting shot at.

There was an article on the BBC website about reintroducing Lynx* into the country. I didn't read the article, but sticking a few of those in the park would get the Strava times down and do away with the need for a cull.

    * to clarify I mean big cats, not perfume to help teenagers get laid.

Not sure they're big enough really.

Chuck in a tiger or pack of wolves.

One poor beast was so desperate to flee the cull he was clocked at 41mph by the police on Sawyer's Hill !
