Looking for some advice,

Interested in both these jerseys but which one? they seem to be exactly the same as the alpha isnt the jacket variation.

Is one more for winter than spring/autumn days? fit?

thanks

You will get away with the Alpha jersey at much lower temperatures than the Trasparente which is for spring through to autumn. Personally i'd go with the alpha as it's superb!

    Entirely different, ish.

Alpha has windproof sleves. Transparente doesn't. So Alpha much better in inclement weather. Alpha has the internal base layer, so warmer.

Transparente more spring weather really. Nice. I have one. Still needs a base layer because no flat lock seams.

  • Interesting, I have gabba ss version and it's amazing but overkill for most rides, so looking for something that's warm for just wacking on and going out in.

Saying this would alpha work for typical British april/may days?
No flat seams putting me off the Transparente Jersey but worried about how breathable the alpha is?

The Alpha is, IMO, very breathable. And warm. I think the Alpha is fine for spring. It can, IMO, be worn without a base layer as well. It's a better jersey overall. That said, I have both.

If the Gabba is overkill then give some serious thought to the Fawesome - mine is back out again now the temps have come up and it is fabulous. Gabba front but breathable nanoflex back.
  • Awesome I'll get Alpha from Evans rather than Transparente.
Going for same size as my gabba... Xl lol.

    Will report what it's like.

Evans have them only Black though, plus don't forget any codes. Also give Sigma or Cyclesurgery a try

I've got both and I'm wearing the alpha Jersey now but it's still a bit chilly for the transparente. I know they are both billed as jerseys but I think the transparene really is (alternative to a ss base layer, ss Jersey and arm warmers) but the alpha is more of a light jacket that goes down to nearly freezing depending on base layer. The transparene breathes better and is more tightly fitted.

What's the cheapest place to get alpha jerseys at the moment? (small, preferably green, actually are there any colours other than green or black?) Thanks.
