SR Suntour XCT HLO, 100mm travel, lockout
So I was turning the preload cap when it came out of its housing like so:
It now won't go fully back in and is stuck like this:
Any ideas how to fix? Cap won't go back in by means of force and I'm worried water could get in and cause more problems. Also annoying if I want to change the tension of the fork.
Should look like this (old pic):

Moderately common failure, new cap needed, best source is a set of knackered forks with a good cap.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Look up the part number, it'll be on a exploded diagram of the fork.

Google the part number and you'll probably find someone selling it, you could also contact a Suntour distributor/seller about a replacement part, the part should cost less then £10
You'll probably need a tool to remove and install the preload adjuster.

Here's some preload adjusters but they mightn't be the right one you need.
