Ahrgh!!! Whats with these thread response notifications?

It appears that if anyone comments on a thread I (You) have commented on, you now receive an E mail confirmation!

How do you turn it off, my Outlook account is linked to my Phone and its pinging like Manc 33's tin foil hat!
