Well why not?

Played rather shite for twenty minutes but were then good value for the win without the need for cynical "Chelsea" style tactics :roll:

This time next week we could be the only English representatives in European competition however I have a funny feeling Man City are going to get a result in Spain (and Everton being Everton we are likely to get dumped out on away goals or penalties).

Back to the usual disappointment on Sunday

    Best competition in Europe. When half the matches in the quarters match the Ukraine against Russia :D

    Makes the rest look like a game rather than a war!

    Are they actually allowing Russian teams to be drawn against Ukranian teams in the next round? They were certainly kept apart by UEFA in this round.

    Anyone looking for an in-play bet to cover their beer tokens for the weekend might want to head over to the West Ham v Everton on Saturday as both teams seem in contention for the poisoned chalice of a Europa League place via the fair play league. Suggest somewhere in the region of 6+ yellow cards and one red in the game as a minimum. Hoping Martinez names both Gareth Barry and Mo Besic in the starting line up for two cert yellows then brings on Naismith for a cert third. Maybe young Duncan Ferguson can dust off his boots and come off the bench if the "result" is not looking good with ten minutes to go :lol:

    I would have thought Arsenal fans would be overjoyed at being in Europa league and on this thread like pigeons on a chip, given that it's the first European competition in 20 years you've got a hope in hell of winning :wink:
