SLR outer casing

The brakes are starting to feel a bit 'rough' when pulling the cable. I have looked at the outers and they are SLR out casing. Should I just buy a whole new set or will the outers be ok if i just use new inners?

    Just buy complete new inner and outer cables.
    It's like new shoes; they always feel better with new socks as well.
