Hi guys,

Selling off my two bikes and looking to have a one for all to save space/satisfy my incurable need to change things....

Just sold my carrera fs zelos (banshee) and about to put my rockrider up on fleabay. Looking at the on one bikes but I've stared at so many bikes/frames and combos now I've lost the plot.

Originally was thinking of the parkwood 29er @ £699

Or the 456 evo carbon 26" @ £799

http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/CBOO456CEV ... ntain-bike

But also considering building up from a frame, which I've worked out would cosy around 1k in the long run (don't need a bike right now) using what seems like a good deal on this frame @ £399

I normally ride once/twice a month either local xc or at a trail centre spending a few hours doing the red route. Nothing much at the mo due to wprk/kids but hopefully after June will have a bit more time to venture out.

I'm 6'4" so like the idea of a 29er but wonder in a carbon hardtail might help me get up the hills a bit better (I'm 30 next month so practically need a stannah stair lift at the moment)

I have looked on crc and others but due to the on one sale they seem to have better bikes for your buck at the moment, plus I do like the look of them

Any input appreciated!

this is the problem! If it wasn't available I'd have an easier choice. Just don't want to blow budget on frame and have to have sub par/used forks or components...

After riding a mates El Guapo I understand why they are so cheap. Really flexy and the rear suspension isn't great. It feels like a real tank as well.

A 29er is a good start But on one have some cheap 29er inbred frames for sale with bars, post, stem e.t.c. i'd et that and some low cost carbon forks, shkmano wheels witha tubeless set up, and an alvio groupset. I am sure kt can all be done for under £1000 more like £700. If you run your tubeless tyres at 25 psi or under that will do the suspension for you making rigid fine. I ride a rigid 29er and love it.
