Both equally horrible, to be fair.

Not quite as bad as Anna Glowinski felt about Wiggle 'adapting' her design

Well, that was rather the point I was making! :D And no, just like last time, I don't think there's any copying stuff, just that certain designs are commonplace.

But, my other alternate thread title was "Rapha make yet another hideous mis step."

Hinault jersey was already ugly at the time, no need to make an even uglier replica.
I think Rapha & Co. have ran out of ideas and the latest jerseys are truly awful. The point of buying these jerseys was that they were nice and understated, while now they look just as flashy and bad as all those lycra PRO Kits. They've lost their USP and they're left with a very expensive jar of Marmite

Couldn't agree more Ugo. First the Brevet jerseys, and now these....its like a bad joke.
I have a couple of the more understated older jerseys which I love, but have now added a Torm jersey to my wardrobe and I love it - and thats where ill be going for my next one too.

I cant see the similarity at all, one is 1/2 the price of the other, what exactly do you get for that????

In both cases, you get a shockingly-awful jersey - the only variable is how much you want to pay for it ;)

Considering they're all remakes of the classic 80s jerseys - its not really a surprise ?

I'd go original rather than pay money to a firm just copying the originals ?

Do you mean you'll pay money to a firm that's doing a copy of the original or you'll wear an original 80's jersey? You think Prendas/Santini are paying three defunct cycling teams and their sponsors royalties to reproduce their 80’s jerseys? I'm not so sure about that.

I'd think theres bugger all chance of DHB or Rapha paying royalties. Without looking into the original design - if Santini or whoever are doing it now - they probably did it back then.

I've got my LVC top in the loft somewhere - but CBA to go up there.

The original designs are far better than the homages - in my view anyway.
