Do you really mean BB? Surely you mean headset, in which case no reason at all, as long as the sizes are right for headtube internal diameter and steerer diameter in each case.0

Thought as much but always like to check...in which case is there any noticeable difference in quality between Hope Pick & Mix and Cane Creek Series 40 headsets?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes

I'm using a Cane Creek 40 upper with Hope lower in the Mega. No problems whatsoever.
There is a difference in quality though. Upper it's pretty equal although the Hope is still better IME. The lower 40's are awful. After just a couple of months the bearing was seized and it was crunchy long before that. The Hope headset I had in the Marin was still like new after 2 and a bit years of abuse.
I won't be buying another 40 and I probably won't be buying another Cane Creek since the 110's are more expensive than the Hope's.0 -
OK - sounds like the Hope is the one to go for.
Cheers for the info."Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
