Opening in a couple of weeks. It could be slightly more convenient as it's a whole 3km away

    RCC membership then?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

Yup - worth a try for a year if only for the coffee and opening party.

At least I won't have to show either Mrs MRS (at home) or my assistant (at work) what I've bought

Should be some interesting club rides as well

Yes - I guess. I'm not a great fan of the whole "club ride" thing but it's worth going on a few to discover some new routes and meet a few people.

It seems worthwhile even if you only have one cup of coffee a week.
Rides may or may not be good but worth a try.
And a free Dogma if you are on holiday near another club must be enticing.

Little use to me due to location but I can see the possibilities at 3km.

I expect to be in HK a few times and my colleagues there are keen cyclists so that's a possibility. There's also a local Amsterdam forum which might prove useful. There's a ride with Simon Mottram the morning after the party too so it'll be interesting to meet him.

I was very careful how I titled my thread, KB  My nearest coffee shop is about 200 yards away

Living next to Vondel Park and commuting through it, I think I can now detect the differences in the type of dope being smoked  What surprises me most (and I guess it shouldn't) is how much I smell on my commute to work.

I can't see one of those opening in Feltham any time soon.
Just to clarify. I mean I can't imagine the Rapha place in Feltham, the kind of establishment KB is talking about would be more likely around here.

Blimey - that picture makes him look like he'd be more likely found in the local high-security prison

Anyway, he's been leading the charge for rapha for ages in Holland.

He does lots of documentaries - one offs, where he'll ride the Mont Ventoux or Paris Roubaix, and it'll be all black & white and all about existential authenticity or something, and he's ALWAYS IN RAPHA, and has been for almost as long as rapha have been around.

Cool - thanks for the heads-up. At least I will know who he is. It sounds like he's bound to be there.

Actually, no sooner did I order the Training Jersey When the Race (Pro) Jersey came back into stock so I ordered that for comparison (very different material). Thoughts on the better one from looks? (Think I prefer the training one)
