Recommend me an inexpensive workstand
After 7 years of doing all my maintenance with the bike precariously balanced on a display stand, I've finally decided to get myself a proper workstand. Any recommendations for something decent but not too expensive? There seem to be quite a few around the £50 mark, any of them worth bothering with?

I think I got this one too fpr £30 off Ebay and built my bike using it - perfect for the job. To be honest it looks identical to the Aldi/Lidl one, so I think you're in good company.Current bike: 2014 Kinesis Racelight T2 - built by my good self!0 -
I got one off eBay and sent it back, it rocked on a level surface.
Is the Park Tool one worth £75?0 -

If you live in CycleCentral you may do well to be there at opening time - or they may have none left. I'm lucky the catchment for my Lidl is decidedly buspassesque.0 -
I'm in Taunton, so I think I should have a fair chance of grabbing one. I conveniently have next Monday off work as well, so will be able to get in at opening time (and then out for a ride!)0

Make one.
here is one i made earlier....
I wanted a decent solid stand that could fold up to hang in the garage, have the bike at a decent standing height to work on, and not cost the earth.
i could not find anything reasonably priced so decided to make one using scrap parts out the skip at work to my own design. so total cost was £0, just my time.
and this is the final result. little rough but does the job perfectly. (although i have not used it for the road bike yet, will need to make some more dropout clamps as they are a different size)
My winter bike is exactly the same as my summer bike,,, but dirty...0
