Was tempted by a new frame so working in a bike shop that supplied Giant this was the obvious choice.
Finding the Stumpy a little weird in the geometry and my brother wanted to buy it so a good reason to change.
Frameset should arrive next week fingers crossed. Test rode on of the full bikes last year and loved it so looking forward to getting this build.
Spec wise:
Pike 150 RCT3
Sram XX1 drivetrain with 34t Chainring inc Cranks
Reverb Stealth
Hope/Arch Ex with Purple Hubs
Hope Tech 3 E4 in Purple with Purple Floating rotors and black mounts.
Easton Havoc 35mm dia 800mm wide bars with a 40mm Haven stem. Both in Black
Trail King 2.2 Black Chilli Protection front and rear.
Spesh Phenom Expert saddle. 143mm
Should be a fairly nice build i'm hoping. Might play around with anglesets and offset bushings to get the geo spot on but we shall see.
Will post some pictures as and when.

Looks like it would be a good build, would love a set of pikes for mine but my revs have been more than up to the job.0

Yeah, yours look great. Also got a CCDB Inline in the pipeline so that would be a pretty nice if all goes well.
We shall have to see.0 -
Like it already
Can't wait to see it come together.Stumpjumper FSR Comp 650B http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=13032340

I like the Trance, really tempted by a Trance frame for my next project but my CCDB Inline is only 190mm long and the Fox CTD fitted as standard just isn't good enough.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Know what you mean Rockmonkey. The frameset comes with the monarch rt3 so with the debonair upgrade, should be a fairly good match to the pike.
Going to give the monarch a go first and then Go from there.0 -
The monarch debonair is on my shortlist to replace the fox ctd on mine, the inline has got me interested, but I think it's greater adjustability may be lost on me plus the extra cost too0

DB Inline also doesn't work if you're over 15 stone. It's in a whole different league to anything else I have ridden, including the debonair. It feeks like a very good coil shock.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

No. They don't do frame only and they don't make anything as good as the Mega and I want something better. At the moment Im thinking Transition Scout but Trance is still a possibility, I would just need to buy a better shock.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Looks really good mate, glad you're enjoying it.0

Looks even better, when I'm not on my phone, a credit to you. How's the monarch?0

Thanks for the comments.
Loving it after todays ride. It goes downhill like my old 26" Alpine does yet climbs like an 29er Anthem. The perfect bike?
The monarch is good, although i have got on order the Debonair Air Can to see if that makes it any better.
We shall see.0 -

Well, few fairly big changes.
Got a set of the new 2016 Fox Float 34 FIT4 Kashima forks for it. WOW, is all i can say. They are very very good. Its hard to explain, but they are very supple and progressive yet sit very high in their travel. I dont think there is a better Trail fork on the market right now.
I couldn't mix Fox and Rockshox so had to get the new 2016 DPS Kashima shock to with the EVOL can. This again is a huge step forward. I was running 170psi in the Monarch and that felt pretty good. Running 220PSI in this one and still getting 25% sag. It now rides like a dream .
Also got a stunning deal on a set of XT Brakes through Madison through Work so ive put a set of these on as felt the Hopes were lacking in the on/off power i quite like.

Looks great, if the 34 is as good as everybody says the latest 36 is then it should be great. I'd hate to think how much they cost though and the new shock too.0

Looks amazing dude, was that the bundle offer that Madison were doing on the XT's? (Also work in a bike shop) Also cheeky question how much did the 34's set you back? Feel free to PM if you got a trade price.
