Has anyone got one of these yet? It's a cheaper option than the gabba Jersey. My only thought with it is regulating my temperature as you can't just unzip it to get the wind through if you need to...

you mean the pro team softshell base layer?

Bendertherobot is your man for all things new, waterproof and breathable. Try the 'raphas gabba' thread.

mixed opinions on this. Someone I know in the Rapha shop didn't like it re the fit but did say that the item doesn't suit all body shapes. You cant unzip it because that would defeat the garments purpose ie it would give water an easy way in

Weird - so its an outer jersey for use as a base ?

If you were going to use DWR - surely you'd want it on the outer layer - not the base ?

Its designed for racers who only have a summer kit option.

So you wear a thin (not water absorbing) jersey over it with your team branding but you have the waterproof under it to keep you warm.

Sort of like wearing sealskin socks under your not waterproof shoes.

The Gabba market is strange because you have to understand the material and how to wear it. Same person at Rapha told me a customer came in to buy a rain jacket to wear over his Castelli Gabba.
