Wanted – Road Cyclist and Driver/Soigneur to Join a Greek Adventure

On 9 September 2015, three male cyclists (aged 60, 52 and 39) from the North East of England will fly to Greece to take part in a race around the Peloponnese against a team of Greeks who will be sailing catamarans.

We would like to add a fourth rider and a support driver/soigneur to the adventure. It would make sense if the additional people are from the Newcastle area so we can get to know each other before setting off but folk from all geographical locations will be given equal consideration.

The course (still to be defined exactly) will be approximately 750 miles and include 60,000ft of climbing and we anticipate that it will take us between 9 and 11 days to complete.

A proportion of the costs will be covered by local tourist boards who may be filming the venture for promotional purposes and hotels but you will need to budget for £750 to £1000 including the cost of your flights (inc bike). All in all, that’s not bad for a fortnight cycling in Greece.

We will be returning home on 23 September 2015 so two full weeks will be required to partake in the race.
