Anyone seen this and managed to recover without a system reset and / or new disk?

This is some form of coded message.

Is the answer, "my helecopter is full of eels"?

    Yes,

Press and hold the reset button on the back for 13 seconds and at the same time unplug the "A" tuner.

Tuner "B" will then kick in and scramble the signal to the box. Depress the reset button.

Go to settings>main menu>full disc initilisation then unscramble the tuner B signal.

If it flashes with a green screen on the telly it's worked, if smoke comes out of the box it obviously didn't.
    Advocate of disc brakes.

What's a Sky box? Is it any different from Sky On Demand?

    Not helicopter, hovercraft.

But yes, I think it is some sort of coded message. It's by this means that 'agencies' manage to communicate with each other to coordinate their activities. The above means "lookout, someone onto the chemtrails!".

    Le sigh

Tried to replay a recorded episode of Air Crash Investigation (Kegworth crash) and the error message came up on my Sky HD box (1Tb)

I was wondering if anyone had seen the message and managed to recover from it without needing to run a full system reset. I've tried the planner rebuild option (Services 0 01 Enter) and that failed with "can't run in diskless mode)

No hovercrafts were harmed in the making of this thread.

What about the Eels? Nobody thinks about the Eels.

I knew this had conspiracy theory written all over it (even if it was in invisible ink).

They don't want you to record that program in case you spot the thermite.

Nah. I know the reason why :) I worked for BM and was mates with the Chief Pilot. I even sat in the same cockpit (BM flight sim at Whitwick) and had the engine vibration dial pointed out to me.

Isn't the plural of "hovercraft" simply "hovercraft"?
Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.
