CANYON CF SLX mold marks?

Hi
Just bought one of these from a guy with a good reputation on ebay.
It has a lot of marks on the notional split line of the down tube. They look quite distinct (maybe not in photo) but he says (and he does sound reasonable on the phone and has sold a number of these) they are because the matt finish does not disguise the joint between the 2 frame halves

Anyone seen anything similar?

    Yes thats how they are constructed. Nothing to worry about. My Hongfu FM066SL frame is the same.

    My (gloss finish) HMX Foil and (matt finish) Cayo Evo are the same too.

    That's a mould split line i.e. witness line where the moulds join but the frame isn't made in 2 halves.
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
